How do I prep for a spray tan?

24-48 hours before your appointment, shower, shave, and exfoliate your body. You don’t want the spray tan solution to stick to your dry, dead skin cells and you don’t want to shave off your spray tan! When you come in for the appointment, don’t have on any lotions, oils, deodorant, perfume, makeup or jewelry. Just have clean, dry, exfoliated skin. You can and should however put on lotion after you have shaved and exfoliated. You just don't want to put on any lotion 4 hours before your spray tan appointment. You don't want the lotion to be a barrier between your skin and the spray tan solution!

Be advised, it's not recommended to shave, shower and exfoliate the day of your appointment! Spray tanning is the last beauty service booked. If you are doing a manicure, pedicure, facial or massage, book those services BEFORE your spray tan. Any body waxing services need to be done 24-48 hours prior to your spray tan. What do I wear during and after my spray tan?

Please be advised to come to your appointment wearing something dark and loose such as a loose dark dress, baggy sweats, over sized shirt, or shorts. For your feet, wear sandals, flip flops or slides. No shoes with socks!

During the spray tan, you can wear whatever you feel comfortable wearing and depending on how you want your tan lines (or none at all). Whether it’s an old swim suit or undergarments, topless, or less, you choose your own tan lines!

How long do I have to wait before I shower?

8 hours! Your tan will be developing for 8 hours after application. You’ll need to refrain from getting wet, sweating and working out.

How long will my spray tan last?

Approximately 7-10 days, depending on how well you prepped for the spray tan and how well you do with your aftercare and keeping your skin hydrated. If you are spray tanning for a special occasion, it is recommended that you come in 2 days before your event.
